Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Vimanook, we believe a good workspace shouldn't come at the planet's expense.

We're a small, boutique space — and we think that's actually an advantage when it comes to sustainability. Fewer resources, more intentional choices, and a genuine ability to put values into practice from day one.

Here's what we're doing.

What We Do Today

Energy-Efficient Lighting

Our workspace runs entirely on LED lighting throughout — consuming significantly less energy than conventional lighting while maintaining a bright, comfortable work environment.

Paperless by Default

Since Vimanook opened, we have operated on a fully paperless basis. Bookings, communications, invoices, and information are all handled digitally. No printed forms, no printed handouts. The one exception was a small batch of laminated office notices — produced once and designed to last, rather than being reprinted repeatedly.

Waste Segregation and Recycling

Waste at Vimanook is actively segregated at source. Dry waste, wet waste, and recyclables are separated to ensure as little as possible ends up in landfill.

Green by Location — Low-Carbon Commuting

One of the most significant contributors to a workspace's carbon footprint is how people get there. Vimanook is located close to the Pune Metro, making it easy for members to commute without a car. We actively encourage members to use public transport, cycle, or travel by electric vehicle. The choice to locate in Viman Nagar — well-connected by metro and road — was made with accessibility in mind.

A Greener Workspace Environment

Our space features indoor greenery designed to last — no watering, no waste, and a calmer, more pleasant atmosphere for everyone working here.

What We're Working Towards

We're a young business and we don't pretend to have it all figured out. But we're committed to reducing our environmental footprint as we grow.

On our radar for the future:

• Solar energy — we intend to explore rooftop or supplementary solar options as the space grows, to reduce dependence on grid electricity

• Further carbon footprint reduction — we're continuously looking at ways to reduce consumption across energy, water, and materials

• Sustainable procurement — as we expand facilities and amenities, we aim to prioritise suppliers and products with strong environmental credentials

Why It Matters to Us

Coworking spaces exist to give people flexibility — and we think that flexibility should extend to how we treat the environment. Every small choice adds up: the light bulb, the piece of paper not printed, the commute not made by car.

Vimanook is committed to being a space that's good to work in — and good for the world outside it.
